Saturday Morning Activities

Workshops and Tabernacle Tours, Bushard Building located at 17500 Bushard Street Fountain Valley, CA 92708 9:30 AM – 11:15 AM (Two sessions - 9:30 and 10:30)

Attendees will have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of enriching sessions, including inspiring workshops and immersive tabernacle tours. For those who missed Friday night, registration will be at the Southeast corner of the building located at 17500 Bushard Street, Fountain Valley, CA. A light breakfast will be provided.

  • Tabernacle Tour – A guided exploration of a full-size replica of the Israelite Tabernacle and its rich history and spiritual symbolism. Tabernacles tours will be available on Sunday before as well.
  • Workshop session “Ancient Temples, Eternal Promises: How Ancient Temples Can Enrich Our Modern Temple Worship” with Jasmin Rappleye

    Jasmin Gimenez Rappleye served as the Director flagfof Communication at Scripture Central. Her role involved overseeing all the marketing and outreach efforts in the organization. She has been a key team member in developing the ScripturePlus scripture study app and helps to defend the faith to new audiences through her social media presence on TikTok and Instagram. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Ancient Near Eastern Studies. In her spare time enjoys researching topics related to the Latter-day Saint temple and women’s roles in the gospel.
  • Workshop session “Radical Joy” with Jody Moore

    After having her first two kids, Jody Moore struggled with work/life balance, embracing motherhood, and liking herself. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she felt guilty for not loving the role of mother and wife, and turned to life coaching for help. The transformation she experienced not only helped her at work and at home, it strengthened her testimony of Christ leading her to dive into learning the tools of coaching and to leave her position as a corporate leadership coach to launch her own coaching practice. Jody is certified through The Life Coach School and completed Master Coach Certification in 2018.

    Today, as an LDS Life Coach, Jody has helped tens of thousands of people through her top-rated podcast Better Than Happy as well as her coaching membership program, The Lab.
  • Workshop session “Truth Seeking and Good Thinking: How to Become Doctrinally Confident” with Scott Woodward

    Scott Woodward has been a professional Latter-day Saint educator in the Church Education System for 20 years, including in Seminary & Institutes, in the Religion Department at BYU, and currently as a member of the Religion Faculty at BYU-Idaho. He is a regular speaker at Education Week and Church symposia and is also a co-host of the Church History Matters podcast, which tends to deal with complex issues in our Church’s history. Scott and his wife Sara have five children and live in Rexburg, Idaho.
  • Workshop session “The First Vision and Good History: A Case Study” with Casey Griffiths

    Casey Paul Griffiths is an Associate Professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. Before coming to BYU he worked for eleven years as a teacher and curriculum writer in Seminaries & Institutes.

    He is an active member of the Mormon History Association, the Latter-day Saint Education Society, and the John Whitmer Historical Association. He is the co-host of the Church History Matters Podcast and hosts documentaries on Church History for Scripture Central.

    He is the author and editor of dozens of articles and several books, including Restorations: Scholars in Dialogue from Community of Christ and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is also active in the historical community and has served as president of the John Whitmer Historical Association. He lives with his wife, Elizabeth, and their four adorable children in Saratoga Springs, Utah.

Each session will provide a unique perspective and opportunity for spiritual learning and personal growth. You will only have time to attend 2 workshops.

  • Keynote Address with R. Randall Huff
    11:45 AM – 12:30 PM
    Join us for an uplifting keynote presentation from R. Randall Huff, offering deep insights and powerful reflections to close out the morning program.

    R. Randall Huff is 84 years old, born in Pocatello, Idaho, and grew up primarily in Southern California. A graduate of Brigham Young University in English and Philosophy, and from Duke University Law School, he spent his entire career as a trial lawyer with the Los Angeles law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.

    Brother Huff served his young mission in both Uruguay and Argentina in the Uruguay Montevideo Mission. He has served as a branch president, bishop, stake presidency counselor, and as president of the Pasadena California Stake. Brother Huff also served as an Area Seventy for California and Hawaii, and then presided over the California Sacramento mission. He and his wife Kay were then called as president and matron of the Los Angeles California temple. He remains a sealer in that temple and currently directs the Pasadena Stake FamilySearch Center. He loves serving the Lord and His people, and teaching the Gospel of Christ, wherever he is called.

    On November 20, 1964, Brother Huff was sealed to the former Kay W. Taylor in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with a large posterity, including their son Jonathan who has Down’s Syndrome. They have all brought great blessings.

Come dressed to impress and ready to relive some of the best time of the 80s and 90s with an unforgettable evening of food, music, and connection! Registration will be at the front of the building located 8702 Atlanta Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA 92646, at the west side entrance.

Dinner – 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Enjoy a delicious catered meal from our favorite taco trucks with friends, both old and new. Relax, mingle, and savor great food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Live Band – 9:00 PM to Midnight

Get ready to dance the night away with three live sets of high-energy music from our favorite cover band - KNYGHT RYDER, They’ll be taking us back to high school with throwback hits, perfect for keeping the party going! Whether you’re on the dance floor or just vibing to the rhythm in the lounge, it's a night you won’t want to miss. Plus, games and prizes will be going on through the night - you could go home a winner in more ways than one!
